South Carolina Enacts “SALT Workaround” Election for Pass Through Entities
June 7, 2021SC and NC Extend Individual Income Tax Filing and Payment Deadline to May 17
Both the South Carolina and North Carolina Departments of Revenue have adopted the extended federal individual income tax filing and payment deadline of May 17, 2021. So the individual income tax filing deadline for 2020 for these states is now May 17th. These extensions are automatic.
As a reminder, this relief does not apply to estimated tax payments that are due on April 15, 2021 in either of these states.
