Beyond the Balance Sheet: A Year of Progress

A Year of Progress

Reflecting on this past year, I am both proud and inspired by what our firm has achieved and how we’ve grown together. The journey has taught us valuable lessons, revealed areas of opportunity, and helped us refine our strategies. Here are a few areas of focus that I would like to highlight as we reflect on 2024 and look towards the new year.

Talent

Talent retention and development remain a top priority. Our commitment to investing in our team members will continue to be a north star as we progress into 2025. In the coming year, we’ll focus on aligning the right people with the right roles, aiming for meaningful growth for our firm and our team members alike. I am thrilled to have more opportunities to connect with you and am especially looking forward to reigniting Firm Day next year.

Efficiency

The implementation of Transformity kicked off our focus on efficiency. Working with a consultant, we have established a foundational framework. This program has already driven productivity gains, but we recognize it’s an ongoing effort. Building efficiency in our day-to-day tasks, such as processing time, will continue to be a core priority as we evolve and grow in the coming year.

Collaborative leadership

This year, we shifted toward a more collaborative, matrix-based leadership model. This corporate approach has broken down silos, enabling departments to share information and insights seamlessly. We’re positioning ourselves to be a future-focused, client-centric firm by focusing on people and talent.

Client focus

A deeper understanding of client needs has reignited our focus on advisory services. Our client relationship partners and technical experts work closely to address complex issues, drawing from internal talent and our BDO alliance members. This structure ensures we are equipped to solve challenges efficiently and thoughtfully, meeting our clients where they are today and anticipating their future needs.

Growth

As we look ahead, we’re partnering with a growth strategist to explore key areas for expansion and better understand how we can enhance offerings for current clients. This work is well underway, and you can expect to hear more about our growth focus in the coming year.

Wishing you a joyous holiday season

With the new year upon us, I hope you will take time to rest and recharge during the holiday season. I am grateful for the contributions you have made to ensure our success. Together, we’re moving forward as a firm you can count on.

Cheers to 2025!
