More Than a Statement

Our mission is more than just a statement—it’s the foundation of everything we do. I recall the first time I became acquainted with the mission – I was immediately struck by how closely it aligned with my own personal values. Today, as CEO, my commitment to helping our team members and clients succeed continues to be a deeply personal journey. While accounting might seem like it’s all about the numbers from the outside, it’s really about people. Behind every tax return, every advisory service, and every financial report, individuals are delivering their knowledge to others and clients are relying on us. We are in the people business, and that’s what I love about our profession.

From working at one of the world’s largest accounting firms to joining WebsterRogers, I’ve always valued building strong, trustworthy relationships. This holds true in both my personal life and in my role as CEO. As I advanced from associate to managing partner, earning the respect of clients and becoming the person they relied on was a north star for me, and it continues to be a north star today. Over the years, I have had the privilege of building deep relationships with clients, becoming not just their advisor but their confidant and friend.

I’ve been fortunate to learn from remarkable mentors along the way. Throughout my career, I have been surrounded by incredibly talented professionals with an unyielding desire for continuous improvement and a relationships-first mentality. Buzz Rogers, one of our founding partners, has particularly inspired me. He is a master of the relational side of our business. Every client he works with is either a friend or becomes one. People continue to call him not just for business counsel but also for personal advice. Seeing his thoughtful approach firsthand is an honor, and it’s a standard of continuous improvement I strive to uphold and share with everyone at WebsterRogers.

Our Clients Count on Us
Often, our clients are multigenerational, and we have decades-long relationships with them.  I recall helping a multigenerational client who was also a close family friend navigate a complex financial transaction.  This client was selling their business, and the situation called for both tax and wealth planning.  We strategically assembled a team to help deliver success for the client.  Fifteen years later, we continue supporting the family’s financial journey as the next generation takes the lead for them and for us. This experience underscores the importance of being a firm that clients can count on, not just in the moment but for years to come.
