January 27, 2020 – WebsterRogers is pleased to announce that Gregory Ackerman, CPA and Kirby Millwood, CPA have been named Partners in the firm effective January 1, 2020.
Greg works in the firm’s Myrtle Beach office and has 23 years of experience in public accounting with an emphasis in performing financial statement audits and reviews of various companies and organizations across multiple industry lines. Greg joined the WebsterRogers Assurance Group in 2010 after spending time with a local accounting firm.
Greg is a cum laude graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. While at Coastal, he was a member of the Honors Program.
Greg is licensed in South Carolina and is a member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Grand Strand Chapter of SCACPA and the Myrtle Beach Sunrise Rotary. Greg is also a Leadership Grand Strand Class XXIX Graduate and serves on the Coastal Carolina University HTC Honors College and Center for Interdisciplinary Studies board of visitors.
Kirby works in the firm’s Pawleys Island office and has nearly 14 years of experience in public accounting. She joined WebsterRogers in 2008 where she specializes in tax planning, consulting and compliance for individuals, trusts and estates. Kirby serves as a firm-wide resource in the firm’s Estate and Trust Group. She serves a variety of individuals in consulting and compliance matters related to estate, trust and gift taxation, as well as estate administration.
Kirby is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Additionally, she earned her Master’s degree in Taxation from the University of South Carolina.
Kirby is licensed in South Carolina and is a member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Charleston Estate Planning Council. She has an extensive background in community service: She has served as a member of the Board of Directors at Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce; she was a member of the Board of Directors at Georgetown County Habitat for Humanity where she also served as Treasurer; she was also a member of the Georgetown Lunch Rotary Club. She currently sits on the Board of Trustees for the AMIKids of Georgetown, and is an active member of the Georgetown County Young Professionals and the Tidelands Community Hospice Foundation.
